Rexx brings with him a background in martial arts, and a childhood marked my a variety of religious influences. In 2005 he began to study Yoga concurrently with Tai Chi. What appealed to him initially was a feeling of lightness and a sensation of peaceful observance following a yoga practice. Eventually he was led to Onlyoga where he met John and fell in love with Ashtanga Yoga. He knew this was something that could benefit everyone-- that the whole world should know about-- so he decided to become a teacher himself.

What Rexx loves most about yoga is the process of transformation it provides in the vessel we call a body, in the discipline of the mind, and in the expansion of the soul. He believes there is no such thing as "being good" at yoga; it is simply a tool for self-realization. In his classes he emphasizes energy dynamics and alignment as well as relaxing into the postures and becoming aware of the emotional responses elicited during times of discomfort or struggle.
