Suitable for all levels, these foundation classes offer new students a thorough and safe introduction to learning the Ashtanga Vinyasa method. New students will build the strength and confidence necessary to move into more advanced classes in the studio. For more experienced practitioners, the course provides a tool for reviewing and strengthening the fundamental concepts that makes the Ashtanga form so dynamic. Postures are held in an effort to build strength, develop muscle memory, and generate proper alignment.
Guided Half Primary Series
The next step in our Ashtanga class progression, this class will move you through approx half of the primary series. To prepare for you for the full primary series, attention is given to learning the sanskrit names and sequence. In this class you will build the stamina and strength to move forward, all while staying in the concepts of the tristana. More complex transitions will be introduced, as well as asana from the end of the sequence. Those brand new to yoga may want to start with our Ashtanga basics classes.
Guided Full Primary Series
Each class covers the entire primary series with a minimal amount of cueing to lessen distraction. Students should be adept at maintaining the primary principles of the practice, e.g. breath, bhandas, dristi, vinyasa, etc. Students wishing to explore a more detailed approach to alignment or other related structural issues, should start with our Basics or Half Primary Series classes. (intermediate/advanced)

Kundalini yoga, as taught by yogi Bhajan is known as the science of awareness. It is a specific practice of energy and angles, used to aid an individual in achieving a state of well being, thus leading to a purpose driven life. Kundalini uses breath, mantra, movement, and mudra in specific kriyas, or sets of postures. Meditations are active, often involving specific hand and body positioning held while chanting and or practicing a prescribed breath pattern.
Bringing the signature onlYoga intensity with longer holds and inversions, this slower paced class balances movement in every direction and is the perfect compliment to your Ashtanga vinyasa practice.
