stumbled onto my new favorite song yesterday. it has a sweet little treat at the end for those who were alive in the 80s.

i’ve been listening to this song on repeat since i found it. i only had a few regulars in class tonight, so i was able to practice along with them. after a lovely, laughter punctuated practice, we rested in a long savasana. i heard the lyrics at the end of this song, lyrics to a song i’ve known and loved since i was a kid, but it was suddenly different. when i used to sing along with foreigner, i sang to some future imaginary tortured love. this time i understood why krishna das included the song and i sang along but not to another person…this time i sang it to myself.
